Bumper stickers - where would we be without them?! If you’ve noticed, you know that there’s tons of them - covering every conceivable topic. They’re so popular that there are web sites that just have lists of them, they don’t even make them available to buy. We won’t tantalize you like that! The more humorous the better! Humor can actually be a great way to convey something serious too. Humor can lower the barriers and make one open to new thoughts. And it's fun to be funny! With the 2008 Presidential Election coming up in 2008, we're starting to add add some new stickers for that. Infact we've created a new category just for that. Check out the election bumper stickers here, if you're so inclined. We've just added a whole new category - Pirate Bumper Stickers! Complete with "Blow Me Down" "Shiver Me Timbers" and "Avast Me Hearties" we have about a dozen designs at this point. Check 'em out or I'll send ye down to Davy Jones Locker! A novel approach to a topic takes creativity. It takes more work to be novel too. But the end result is worth the effort. Put something on your bumper that someone took the time to make a true novelty. Those who read it will appreciate that too. We will endeavor to take the the novel approach here at BumperSnickerz.com. What makes a cool bumper sticker is one that makes us laugh and cheers us up. Or maybe it makes us think about something differently. Good graphics, carefully selected fonts and just the right colors add to the coolness too. Just sort of blurting something out isn't always cool. There's an art to saying it like it is, yet doing it in a way that's classy. Sports-wise there's lots to cover. We thought we'd start off with the Rugby stickers. These guys deserve it-- Rugby players are like the "Special-Ops" forces of the sporting world! Then there's Jeep owners. They're the Special-Ops of the automobile world. These guys and gals are certifiable. Check out what we have to say about 'em. Funny quotes are pretty cool and make great material for bumper stickers. I envy the people who can say somthing really pithy, to make you both think and laugh. Mark Twain and George Burns are a couple of favorites of mine. It's interesting that one of the most sought bumper stickers is the, "What if the Hokey Pokey IS what it's all about?" We have a little write up, and of course our version of the Hokey Pokey sticker. And it may be what it's all about! At this time, with world events being what they are, there’s a lot of seriousness too. Take the strong feelings about our military involvement. I think it’s good that there seems to be a broad consensus that we should support our troops, even if we’re opposed to what they’re doing and/or our president's militaristic approach. Our military troops are making a huge sacrifice to serve our country - I think they deserve our support. That's why we've made a special category for "Support Our Troops" bumper stickers. This leads to feelings and opinions about what it means to be patriotic - can you be patriotic and disagree? How do we express our differences? Can I be opposed to the war? What if Hillary Clinton (or fill in the blank) scares the daylights out of someone? Is one still patriotic? Wasn't America founded to be a place where everyone can express their beliefs without fear of retribution? For myself, I believe one can be a patriot while disagreeing with the status-quo! In fact it can be the most patriotic thing to do. Personally, we’ve found the comments of Ward Churchill to be so extreme as to defy common sense. But he has his supporters, we're just definitely not among them! Most of our products that fit into the “rude” bumper sticker department are not quite so strong, but like Ward Churchill, we have a right to express our selves, even if someone considers us to be rude. I sometimes wonder if people realize what a unique freedom of expression we enjoy. One of our goals is to offer products based on regional issues. Here in Washington state, we have “dead” people voting, for example, and we’ve made some bumper stickers accordingly! As our web site grows and you feed us information, we can do the same for other regions. Because we live in Washington state, we're more on top of the issues here, and have reason to express our opinions on our bumpers! Perhaps you've felt as helpless as we have about the Supreme Court decisions regarding property ownership. It's unbelieveable. We vented with a variety of bumper stickers. We encourage you to protest with a bumper sticker. Of course expressing ourselves brings into play the issue of political incorrectness. Some topics don’t seem to get people riled up, like horses for example, but then there’s sexual stereotyping, conservative vs liberal political views and vegetarianism, as examples. Do we express ourselves and risk getting people upset, or keep our opinions to ourselves? Will the pressure to shy away from anything because it's deemed politically incorrect drive us to a place of mediocrity? Or should we express ourselves? Right or wrong, it seems that a lot of folks deal with these questions by putting a sticker on their bumper to express their feelings. I guess we’ll agree with that - even when we disagree! For those of you so inclined, we've provided a text-only listing of all our bumper stickers. These are in turn linked to the preview screens. Our bumper stickers are roughly grouped by categories as follows: |
